What is Remicade? Remicade is a prescription medicine approved for patients with Plaque Psoriasis, 犀利士
Psoriatic Arthritis, Crohn’s Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, and Ulcerative Colitis.
How does Remicade work? Remicade is a monoclonal antibody that identifies and binds to a specific protein produced by the immune system called tumor necrosis alpha (TNF-alpha). The overproduction of TNF leads to inflammation in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, plaque psoriasis, Crohn’s (pediatric and adult) disease. Remicade can stop the inflammation by binding and blocking TNF-alpha.
How is Remicade administered? Remicade is administered directly into a vein. Some improvement of symptoms might be seen two days after treatment, but it may take up to two weeks after infusion to see significant improvement.
How long will the treatment take? Treatment is typically about three hours long. Healthcare professionals, including a nurse and physician, will oversee the administration. Our trained staff is available for clinical and scheduling questions.
