Juvéderm

Wrinkles are a part of life. As people age, it can only be expected that wrinkles will occur. While we have no control over the formation of wrinkles, here at the Center for Dermatology, Laser and Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Harold F. Farber M.D. has years of experience using Juvéderm in the treatment of wrinkles.

Juvéderm consists of cosmetic fillers used on the face and has multiple types including Juvéderm XC and Juvéderm Voluma XC.

Juvéderm Voluma XC is specifically FDA approved for the cheeks. It acts by increasing the volume in the cheek area which slowly decreases as we age.

Juvéderm XC is more specific to the mouth and nasal regions. In addition to wrinkles, Juvéderm XC can reduce scars and enhance lips.

This only consists of one treatment where Juvéderm XC can last up to a year and Juvéderm Voluma XC can last up to two years. Both these treatments contain lidocaine which is an anesthetic to minimize pain.
